BIOGRAPHY

Mackenzie Bessner began dancing at the age of five where she attended Doubletake Dance Studio in Hurst, Texas and KJ Dance in Plano, Texas. This is where she realized that dance turned from recreation to passion. She decided to do whatever it took to pursue her goals of becoming a professional dancer. This propelled her to move to Dallas, Texas to further pursue her dance training at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and Dance Industry Performing Arts Center. Throughout her years, Mackenzie has received an extensive and diverse dance education which includes ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip-hop.

Currently, she is attending The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, pursuing a BFA in dance. She has had the pleasure to perform works by world renowned choreographers such as Aszure Barton, Kyle Abraham, Peter Chu, Loni Landon, Jessica Hendricks, and Benoit-Swan Pouffer. For multiple years, she has attended intensives and workshops which include Hubbard Street Dance and the American Ballet Theatre. She is thrilled to further pursue her love of dance and can not wait to see where the journey takes her.
